Jeans and Suspenders

Not much to say guys, this is a simple style that will certainly attract people's attention. Just be bold when wearing it, don't let the staring drag you down. Just be confident and you'll get the right kind of attention.

I'm wearing a simple slim fit oxford white shirt from Stafford found at JCPenney (about $25), suspenders from H&M (came with the bow tie in a previous post, check there to see the price) and a RUDE skinny fit jeans that I bought at Hot Topic, yep, they do sell skinny jeans and it's awesome! It was 40 bucks. That's it, that's the outfit! Just wear boots with them and there you go, you got it!

Classy Sunday

Well there, hello again. I'll be brief with this one.
I love dressing up, I really do. Although before all I always wanted to take out my suit and tie, nowadays I realised that a true gentleman dresses for the occasion and some occasions require you to dress up, like church. Well, indeed I go to church every Sunday and I feel great about it.
Let's start from top to bottom, shall we?

I'm wearing a Polo Ralph Lauren blue/white gingham shirt (gingham is different than plead, please know the difference! Google it if you don't know :D ) that cost me US$30 at the Outlets near my house in Lehi, UT. It's Ralph Lauren, enough said.
My bow tie comes from H&M (duh!) and it came with suspenders (that I'll feature in another post) and it was only US$12.99 I believe. If not that, close to that not over 15 dollars. You don't even have to tie the bow tie, it comes prepared. I know, I cheated, so what?
Pocket Square is from Burlington Coat Factory and it costs around $6-$8 each.
The burgundy v-neck sweater is Nautica, I bought it at a retail store really close to where I live and it was only $10. I have to admit that the fit is not that great (it is actually pretty loose) but when worn under a jacket, you can put it inside your pants like a shirt and hide all that extra fabric. That's what I did in this case.
Suit jacket from J.Ferrar, super slim fit, from JCPenney, only $70. Fits great. This jacket I've had for a couple of year now and it's really classy for its price. I love it.
Navy chino pants are from H&M and it was $30. Same pants as the other ones featured in another post, but different colour. They're size 32x32.
Double monkstraps (my FAVOURITE pair of shoes ever) look reaaaally fancy and expensive, right? WRONG! I bought them at JCPenney for only $60. They are Claiborne's. At first they really hurt my feet but now that they are loose enough, I wear them every time I need to be more social. They attract all kinds of looks and compliments. If you to look classy, buy some of these, do yourself a favour!

Total expenditure in the outfit: US$219.

Yup, I think that's it guys. See you later. Don't forget to follow me on instagram @aksmarks and leave a comment if you like this or not!

Hi again people! I'll be quick with this post because I'm in class right now, hehe...Today's outfit is a casual, urban style one. I loved how it all fit together and I've got many compliments on this one on campus.
I should warn you that not always I'll highlight everything I'm wearing, but I'll do that to the ones that stand out the most. For today I'll say about everything I'm wearing.

Alright, let's start from top to bottom.

My glasses I bought from eyebuydirect.com. It is the Saratov model, it cost only US$35 to US$40 (I can't recall right now, but it was way cheap and they are AWESOME! Everyone loves them)

The white collarless shirt I got as a Christmas gift, but it is from H&M and I believe it was around US$15.
My bomber jacket is from Forever21Men and this one, let me tell you, was a hell of a find. It was originally US$70 (which I believe is not that expensive compared to other bomber jackets out there), but the store was on sale (and the last time I checked still is) and it only cost me US$19! Believe it or not, this awesome jacket was only 19 dollars! I couldn't believe it when I found it, for real! But anyways, you can find these there!
My skinny fit chinos are from, of course, H&M and they cost me about US$30. I love H&M but because I'm smaller than most American man (I'm 5'8''), it seems like they only make pants with a length of 32, not 30 or 28 (which is my size). So although these chinos are 32x32, they fit great for slimmer men and you can always roll the hem like the picture if you don't feel comfortable with the break on the bottom, which I think is a cool style (maybe not if it's winter time hehe). They have other colours as well, I have the same style but in navy.
My canvas sneakers are from Old Navy and they cost me US$15. I'm also wearing a Casio G-Shock watch (which is my baby, I'm always using it) that cost US$90 on eBay.
I have featured here also my new bracelets that got from jackthreads.com. JackThreads has many options for everything you desire and they are super cheap! I paid on these 4 bracelets US$30, they were on sale of course, but JackThreads always has sales going on and you can find some sweet deals there. The bracelets are a pack of 3 beaded bracelets and 1 KingIce obsidian mala bracelet. Although they pretty big for my wrist, I enjoy using them.

So, there you go guys, let me sum up the total money you would have spent on this outfit: US$239!!!! And I'm counting my watch and glasses, if I don't, it's only US$109!!! C'mon, it can't get better than this, for real. You could twice of that in just one shirt or pants and still look the same as this. Hope you enjoyed this post and got some inspiration for your wardrobe.

First Basic Post

Hey guys, I'm Andre Marques and I'll be doing this blog to update you on affordable mens fashion. You know when you see that awesome outfit on Pinterest, Instagram, or even that friend that has awesome clothes and knows how to put it all together, but you go check the price you get freaked out because of the price?.
Well, that happened and still happens to me all the time. So, being Brazilian and studying in the USA I have almost no money to do anything, but I still am a fashion lover, but how can I be stylish if I don't have that US$700 to spend on a shirt (they're not that expensive, but you get the point)? Well, I have figured that there are many other choices that can be affordable and still look as dapper as an expensive outfit.
What you gotta keep in mind is that fit is king in these kind of situations. Don't go buying stuff just because it's cheap! Try it on and if it fits you, then buy it! Of course it will be easier to find tapered, slim or skinny styles on more expensive stores, but you can still find good fitting clothes at nearby stores too! Remember that you don't want to buy baggy stuff nor too tight apparel. You want something that fits you nicely and you feel comfortable wearing it (if it's for the tighter side, that you can actually breath).
Along with my pictures, I will try my best to describe the piece of clothing I'm wearing and give you a price, of course telling you where to find these fine pieces.
If you have any comments, concerns or questions please feel free to ask me! You can also follow me on instagram @aksmarks, where I'll post the pictures as well.

I'll start today with two pictures of a simple outfit.

In both of these pictures I'm wearing a really basic black v-neck tee from Forever21Men. Believe it or not, Forever21 has become one of my favourites stores to buy clothes from. I always thought that it was just for girls and that I wouldn't find anything in there, but hey one day I've decided to go in and check it out and to my surprise I found some PRETTY cool stuff, and cheap as well! This tee was only US$3.90 each! It is a light weight and feels great. Has a nice fit and ANYONE can pull it off. So there you go! If you want some basic tee's that will go with everything else, just go to Forever21 and buy them!

My necklace is from H&M and it was US$9.95, a standard price for some of the accessories.
